Some Background

Yeah, so, umm.  Here we are.  It is Friday, January 4th, 2013, I am sitting here listening to MyChildren MyBride and this new year is starting with a life that is unbeknownst to me.  I don't know if that word is used correctly, but oh well, I'm learning German.
I am currently 20 years old.  I am also currently a male.  I have been all my life, and plan on continuing in this gender role.  So yeah, I'm never going to be a girl.  My home is in Michigan, I went to a junior college in Kansas for two years and am attending college in Virginia now.  I have worked in Colorado, and my girlfriend is from Illinois.  I have traveled America, now I want to travel Europe.
So yeah, here is the deal.  I have this desire, this "call on my heart" if you will, that is drawing me towards Germany.
I had the opportunity to tour Europe with my college choir this past summer, so I have visited Germany (which explains the background picture of this blog) and it was awesome!  My favorite country was Switzerland since we stayed in Wengen, but I just haven't shaken the feeling that Germany has left on me.  The feeling has been strong enough that I am now striving to accomplish this.  I have a few reasons that are the cause of this feeling, which will probably be explained as I go on with these posts.  I don't want to divulge too much here, in case it changes, because nothing is set in stone at all.  Not even close.  So it is an adventure!!

There isn't much background that needs to be said here, except that I am just starting to learn German, so this won't happen for a few years.  However, I am going to use this blog to try and document my journey through learning the beautiful German language, trying to find out how to go about finding places to live, and hopefully one day moving or abandoning this.  I am praying for God's leading through it all, and here it is.  So yes.  This is my background, and now that you know it, we all know it.

Spreche Sie Deutsch?  Nein.

If you want to learn more about me and my uninteresting life, here is my normal blog, which I don't keep up too regularly, but I try to.

Guten Tag.
